Kindo LLC ("Kindo," "we," "our," or "us") operates the Kindo mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you and your children when you use our Service.

Kindo is a family app designed for parents and legal guardians to manage chores and rewards for their children. Because children of all ages may use the Service, we take privacy seriously and comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Who Can Use Kindo

Kindo accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian who is 18 years of age or older. Children and teens under 18 may use the app only after their parent or legal guardian has created the account and granted them access.

For children under 13, we obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information, in compliance with COPPA. Parents may review, update, or delete their child's information at any time.

Information We Collect

From parents and legal guardians:

• Name and email address (for account creation)
• Payment information (processed securely via third-party processors — we do not store card numbers)
• Device information and IP address
• App usage data (chores created, rewards set, approval activity)

From children (with verified parental consent only):

• First name or display name (set by parent or guardian)
• Chore completion activity
• Rewards earned and savings balance

We do not collect children's email addresses, phone numbers, photos, precise location data, or any other personal information beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.

How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Kindo Service
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send important account and service notifications to parents and guardians
• Respond to customer support requests
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud

We do not use children's personal information for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the core Service.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Kindo complies fully with COPPA. Specifically:

• A parent or legal guardian must create the account and approve their child's access
• We obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from children under 13
• We do not use third-party advertising or tracking in the children's section of the app
• We do not sell or share children's personal information for marketing purposes
• We do not condition participation on disclosure of more information than is reasonably necessary

Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your child's personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Trusted vendors who help operate the Service (e.g., payment processors, cloud hosting), bound by confidentiality agreements
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with advance notice to users

Data Security

Data Retention
