Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kindo mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Kindo LLC ("Kindo," "we," "our," or "us").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility & Accounts

Parents and legal guardians must be at least 18 years of age to create a Kindo account. By registering, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child using the Service under your account, and that you accept these Terms on behalf of your family.

Children and teens under 18 may use Kindo only after a parent or legal guardian has set up the account and approved their access. The parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising and is fully accountable for their child's use of the Service at all times.

All account holders agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Not share login credentials outside your immediate family
• Notify us immediately at support@joinkindo.com if you suspect unauthorized access

The Kindo Service

Kindo provides a family chore and rewards platform that allows parents and legal guardians to assign chores, set monetary rewards, configure mystery box prizes, approve completions, and track savings for their children. Key features include:

• Chore assignment and tracking visible to children through their own app view
• Monetary rewards attached to individual chores, tracked in a savings jar
• Mystery box prizes that unlock when a child completes a set number of chores — parents choose whether the prize is a bonus earnings boost or a non-monetary reward of their choosing
• Parental approval required before any reward is credited
• Savings tracking displayed as a running balance within the app

Kindo reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice to users.

Subscriptions & Payments

Kindo offers both free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting support
• Contact support@joinkindo.com within 14 days of a charge if you believe an error occurred
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice

Savings Tracking & Rewards

Kindo tracks monetary rewards earned by children and displays a running savings balance within the app. Please note the following important limitations:

• Kindo is not a bank or financial institution
• Savings balances displayed in the app reflect rewards tracked and approved by the parent or guardian — they are not held in a real bank account by Kindo
• Parents and legal guardians are solely responsible for fulfilling monetary rewards and managing any real-world transfers or savings accounts
• Mystery box prizes — whether a bonus earnings boost or a non-monetary reward — are set and fulfilled entirely by the parent or guardian; Kindo does not provide or guarantee any specific prize
• Any actual banking or financial services connected to Kindo in the future will be provided by third-party partners subject to their own separate terms

Kindo is not liable for any financial decisions made based on information displayed in the app.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent

Violation of these Terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

Intellectual Property

The Kindo name, logo, app design, and all related content are owned by Kindo LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our Service without our express written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Kindo does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kindo LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@joinkindo.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia. Before initiating legal action, please contact us at legal@joinkindo.com to attempt informal resolution first.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify you of material changes by email or through the app at least 14 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
